Convenience Electronics, Inc.
(CEI) is a minority-owned, UL certified, small business incorporated in 1989. CEI provides custom wire harnesses, cables, electrical assemblies and molded cables through our China partners, to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) currently including medical, instrumentation, test and measurement, industrial, telecom and audio/visual markets. We specialize in small to medium volume runs, concentrating on high quality and quick turn around time. Our assembly staff is A620 trained and we have two A620 trainers on staff – our goal is to provide you with the highest quality product in a timely fashion at a fair price.
CEI aims to be an integral part of our customers’ supply chain. To that end, we can offer design and drawing assistance, prototyping, Design for Manufacturability and Assembly suggestions and Kan Ban services. Our engineering and sales staff can make recommendations that may cut your cost significantly while still maintaining high quality standards. Our manufacturing procedures are documented for repeatability and our assemblers continually offer suggestions for simplification and/or material revisions that could provide cost savings. We work as a team to insure our customers receive the highest quality and the best price. We routinely upgrade and add to our tooling inventory, review our work processes, utilize a continuous training schedule and maintain a Lean manufacturing philosophy in order to achieve this goal.

The purpose of the Minority Business Certification Program
is to increase the opportunity tor minority firms to sell their products and services to the State of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Department of Commerce certifies firms for eligibility to participate in the state’s minority business bid preference program.
CEI is a member of the Northcentral Minority Supplier Development Council
The Northcentral Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc.
(NMSDC) is a nonprofit organization consisting of companies and public agencies from throughout the state. Members work together (with the assistance of the NMSDC staff and Board of Directors) to increase the amount and quality of business transacted with minority-owned firms. Membership in the Council is a voluntary effort that demonstrates the initiative of the private sector concerning minority business opportunities.
The NMSDC is a freestanding supplier development council. It is an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, and one of 17 regional Councils operating in the United States. The NMSDC was created by the Wisconsin business community to address the means available to support minority business development.
Often, bringing together corporate and minority business is a problem of communication. Membership in the Council solves that problem by providing the vehicle for effective communication. The NMSDC works in cooperation with the national network to bring about the development of a sound economic base within the minority business community, and provide corporate members with an expanded base of qualified, competitive suppliers.
Many activities and programs of the Council are designed to bring buyers and sellers together to discuss business problems and share knowledge. The Council shares its collective knowledge through a quarterly newsletter, monthly general membership meetings, ongoing membership mailings and activities.
The NMSDC endeavors to meet the challenge of fostering minority business development, while increasing the quantity and quality of viable minority suppliers.
